I believe that a student should see a teacher dancing well, or at the very least, dancing competently, in a social environment, not demonstrating for an audience, or to perform. To me, that’s not social dance, its a performance. I teach social dance, so therefore, it would terrible of me to ‘perform’, but rather show you what I can do as a social dancer, and just how easy and comfortable the dance should be.
